Ashbourne Heights Park (Formerly Highfields Park), located three miles north of Ashbourne, situated on the southern tip of the Peak District will offer your family everything you could wish from a holiday home and more. There's a multitude of activities on the park and within the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.

Ashbourne is the southern gateway to the Peak District with a colourful history. There have been many famous visitors in its past including Charles I and Bonny Prince Charlie.

The surrounding Derbyshire countryside provides breathtaking landscapes, bustling market towns of picture postcard appearance and an outstanding cultural and historical heritage.

On the park:

There are a number of new fully furnished luxury lodges available for holiday rental. The lodges are fully heated, double glazed and include a TV with DVD/CD. Pet friendly lodges are available.

The park also has 100 pitches for touring caravans, motor homes, tents and trailer tents. There are 68 pitches with 16 amps mains electric hook-up. Most pitches are on grass to accommodate around 75 tents, but there are eight hard-standing. The average pitch size is 11m x 12m.

Sorry, we do not have a dedicated motor home service point, however, most motor homes can be accommodated on the pitches with the exception of the very largest US-style.

The nearest bus stop is in Fenny Bentley.

Dogs are allowed with a maximum of two dogs per pitch and must be kept on a lead.

Around and about

Leisure time spent at Ashbourne Heights offers a multitude of activities on the park. The surrounding Derbyshire countryside provides breathtaking landscapes, like at nearby Dove Dale, or picturesque villages like Tissington. There is an outstanding cultural and historical heritage. Nearby are historic properties, a World Heritage Site at Derwent Valley Mills and many more indoor and outdoor activities attractions and locations, to make your stay as energetic or as relaxed as you like.

The 13 mile Tissington Trail, a scenic cycling or walking route running from Ashbourne to Parsley Hay following the old Buxton to Ashbourne railway is in close proximity and was established by the Peak District National Park. 

Further afield, the whole of the National Park extends northwards from Ashbourne Heights into beautiful undulating hills and quaint villages to the heights of the Dark Peak and magnificent mountain scenery; it’s a walkers paradise, whatever your ability. Rambling, cycling or horse-riding through stunning countryside is on offer, without the interference of cars, pollution or noise. Does it appeal?

 

Directions and location:

Located 3 miles north of Ashbourne, situated on the southern tip of the Peak District offering breathtaking scenery.  Close by the 13 mile Tissington Trail gives visitors a scenic cycling and walking route.

Ashbourne Heights is 3 miles north of Ashbourne on the A515 towards Buxton.  Pass through the village of Fenny Bentley and the park is located on the left before the railway bridge.
