Beacon Hill Touring Park |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Beacon Hill Touring Park enjoys the beauty of 30 acres of partly wooded heathland, together with a wide selection of wildlife.We are a Conservation Award winning park in the stunning Dorset countryside, three miles west of Poole Town Centre, and just five miles from the best beaches Britain has to offer. Beacon Hill sets the perfect location for holidaying in the South.Our natural landscaping affords many unique pitch settings; a non-regimented feel is an aspect our customers return to enjoy. We have a limited number of adjoining electric and non-electric pitches. We also have hard standings for heavier units. There are designated dog areas around the park, however they must be kept on a lead. Enjoy the quiet seclusion of partly wooded heathland, certain areas of our park are designated habitats for protected wildlife species such as dragonflies, sand lizards and the Dartford Warbler. Since 1996, we have held the David Bellamy Conservation Silver Award, and the Gold Award since 2001. At Beacon Hill we have two children's play areas; Playhill caters mainly for older children. Fort Beacon is aimed at 2-10 year olds. The Beacon Bar is open during busy periods and high season (mid July-September), with live evening entertainment. There is also an adjoining games room for the children. It is ideal for families as children are also allowed in the bar area. Our two fishing lakes are well stocked with carp, perch, tench and roach. Because our lakes are not 'flowing water' we do not have to observe 'Close Season' which means that our guests can fish throughout the camping season. We do not permit the use of keep nets, ground bait or boilies. Facilities
