Linwater Caravan Park

A peaceful family-run touring park, situated 7 miles west of Edinburgh in open countryside, with 60 spacious level grass pitches, most with 16amp electricity. There is an excellent amenity building with free showers, privacy cubicles and a small laundry. There is also a dishwashing area, and for younger children, a fully equipped sandpit.

There are delightful woodland walks from the Park to the Union Canal and Almondell Country Park. Dogs are welcome on leads, and we have a dog walking area adjacent.

There is a small supermarket, fish and chip shop, pubs and Chinese Restaurant in our local village, East Calder, 3 miles form the Park with the excellent shops of Livingston, 5 miles away with a large new Asda store, as well as the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet. En route to Edinburgh is the Gyle Shopping Centre, including Marks & Spencer's and Safeway, both with late night opening.

Edinburgh Airport is just 5 miles away, as is the Royal Highland Showground where Scotland's premier Garden Show is held in early June, and the Royal Highland Agricultural Show at the end of June. There are also many other shows and exhibitions there throughout the year, and we are the closest park to the showground with excellent access.

We are also close to the main routes to Glasgow, Stirling, the Forth Road Bridge and all routes south.

Call in on your way north or south, or stay awhile - you will be most welcome. We are signposted from junction 1 (Newbridge) of M9/A8/A89 and from Wilkieston on the A71, along the B7030.
