Quiet Waters Caravan Park

Quiet Waters Caravan Park has been in the same family for over 70 years and is currently run by Linda Coulson, granddaughter of the first owner, and her husband Tony, who lives on the site along with their son and daughter.

The quiet, peaceful spot occupies 5 acres by the banks of the Great Ouse, and in addition to touring caravans, motor homes and tents there are luxury caravans for hire (up to 6 births, with 2 separate bedrooms) with parking alongside.

Four of these caravans overlook the river, the remaining have park views. There are excellent toilet and shower facilities and laundry room maintained to a very high standard. Also Quiet Waters is a residential mobile home park, offering 35 retirement homes with all amenities. Quiet Waters Caravan Park is rated as a 4 star site.

The site offers angling and boating facilities, including rowing boats for hire from our own banks, and country walks and cycling routes available from the park.

A golf course can be found within one mile.

Hemingford Abbots is a delightful village, containing beautiful thatched cottages and dominated by St Margaret's Church. A short walk from the park, takes you to the local Inn, offering excellent meals and service. The new village hall hosts many attractions during the summer months; the flower festival every two years is a major event for the villagers.

Our nearest town is the lovely riverside market town of St Ives, offering a museum, recreation centre and many shops and restaurants.

The manor at Hemingford Grey is reputedly the oldest inhabited house in England, built around 1130. Also visit the historic cathedral cities of Ely; Peterborough and Bury St Edmunds, and the famous university city of Cambridge, with the war museum of Duxford are all with easy reach from Hemingford Abbots. With London less than one hour by train.
